Future directions

Creative Victoria is seeking input and ideas from Victoria’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artistic and creative community to help shape our future programs and initiatives for the sector – across the arts, culture, film and television, digital games, design and fashion sectors.

This process follows on from the Aboriginal State of the Arts research report which surveyed the support that currently exists for the sector in Victoria (find out more and download the report here). It also builds on the feedback provided during the consultations for the development of Victoria’s first creative industries strategy. The feedback will be used to develop a plan that will set out a series of future actions Creative Victoria will undertake to strengthen Victoria’s Indigenous arts and creative sector.

We are seeking feedback on the key areas of need in Victoria’s Indigenous arts and creative sector as well as opportunities for growth and development. A series of workshops were held across August to seek views and input from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, creative professionals and culture practitioners of all disciplines. If you could not attend a workshop, or you have further ideas to contribute, we are now seeking your input and ideas via an online survey.

Contribute to the development of Creative Victoria’s future directions for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and culture by completing the survey here.

The Aboriginal Arts and Creative Industries Survey is available until Friday 16 October 2015.
