Testing Grounds is a free outdoor space established to foster experimentation, explore new ideas and encourage calculated risks.
Since opening in late 2013, this once-vacant lot hidden at the back of Melbourne's Arts Precinct has hosted over 300 projects and events.
Testing Grounds has been home to artists-in-residence, exhibitions, festivals, community events, book and magazine launches, film screenings, performances and live music. The site has also been used for workshops, educational uses and project development.
The site is open to all uses across arts, design, architectural and educational practices. If you're interested in using Testing Grounds for your project, event or idea, simply fill in the Expressions of Interest form.
The site is also open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 6pm every day. To find out what's on head on over to the Testing Grounds calendar.
Testing Grounds is operated by These Are The Projects We Do Together with support from Creative Victoria.
